About Viret Children Foundation

A Child-Centered NGO in Uganda

Children smiling

The Viret Children Foundation (VCF) is a dedicated and results-oriented non-profit organization established in 2022 to support vulnerable communities in Uganda, particularly in rural and formerly war-affected regions like Luweero.

With the HIV/AIDS epidemic leaving many children orphaned, VCF is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where these children can grow, learn, and achieve their dreams. We focus on social justice and welfare to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Our philosophy is that social change begins with empowering individuals, especially women. By enhancing their roles as caregivers, we aim to strengthen families and create a ripple effect of positive change throughout communities.

Our Vision

“To empower women and children by equipping them with the tools they need to access opportunities that will help them build promising lives.”

Our Mission

“To raise good citizens full of hope, equipped with life skills and raised in a Christian centered caring community.”

Ssebuliba Nicholas

A Story of Hope: Meet Ssebuliba Nicholas

Ssebuliba Nicholas, aged 18, got a back injury when he was 10 years. He fell off a Muwafu tree and never walked again. He was born from a poor family and we took responsibility of the boy even before the organization was formed.

He hasn’t been able to get proper medical attention which would have helped him to get surgery and walk again. With the little help from our organization he has been surviving. He still hopes for a better future and we intend to bring him to our home from the parents home for easy monitoring.
